was recently working a GBH when a fitness walker on a parallel trail spooked the bird into flight. I caught this image as it landed a few yards from its original location. ISO 800, f/8.0, 1/250 ev +.33... Canon 40D, Bigma @500mm, 580 EX w/ Better Beamer @ -1. RAW conversion via CS3 ACR, PS includeds selective sharpening of bird and noise reduction on background.

Great pose there, but it looks a tad soft - it may be solvable with sharpening.

Pose, HA, and eye contact are there, Like the way you framed your subject with the Bg.

Lots to like here - good HA and eye contact - a tad soft in some places.
Looking forward to seeing more :)

Sharpening easily solved. Do you sharpen for web presentation. I am surprised no one has mentioned the virtual feet:) I like it as presented very nice work.
