This was created in an experimental mood during Artie's IPT this past week. The color comes from an OOF rock in the foreground, close to the Egret and far from me.
It was such a treat to have Tim Grey with us, not only because of his PS skills that he shared with us but because of his terrific personality and wicked sense of humor that we really enjoyed.
I have other takes from this series where the Egret is higher showing less veil but this one is my favorite. Pupil slightly burned.

I like the concept Fabs although the blur in the head bugs my eyes.

Perhaps a little bit more contrast from the very corner of the jaw / eye forward?

Somehow, it doesn't look as 'dreamy" as I'd like but more like something was in the way.

Very nice image and application, Fab.

I would consider cropping the top and to a lessor extent the LB, if it were mine. But ... Your image ... Your vision.

I really like the effect of this.

Mark, thank for your comment, but I think the negative space (BG and FG in this case) needs to be proportional to the size of the subject, lest make it look cramped in.

Having said that, I'm always interested in other folks opinions and vision :)

I'm very late to the party but had to comment. This is so beautiful I keep finding myself dropping back down to look at it. If it were mine I might "pop" the eye a bit more but I also love this as it is.

It's like the egret is peeking out from the mist....:)
Nice feeling and colors. It would look gorgeous as a big(very big) format print!
