I love these fox photos, this one looks a little short of sharpness around the eyes.

lovely portrait Dan. I agree with Ken and would sharpen the face and eyes some more selectively...

Beautiful pose and I like the snow on his nose. Looks like the focus is on the nose, not the eyes.

It's great the nose is sharp as the snow makes the difference, and if it had been maybe f/7.1 I think it might be perfect. Background, pose and colour are great and if you haven't already selectively sharpened the eyes it might be prefect yet. Wish I had foxes and snow to shoot!

Nice intimate portrait. I think the sharpness as presented goes well with the overall soft feel of this one.

Nice portrait of this fox. Agree with Steve on the level of detail, it's sharp enough where it needs to be. TFS

Love the close-up portrait Dan- these foxes are my favourite. Read both views on sharpness, personally I would try for a tad sharper eyes, but it is beautiful as it stands.

Beautiful eye contact and surroundings. Not a Mountain Fox?

Thanks again! No, Fabs, this is not a mountain fox.
