Hello, my name is Peter Farrell and I reside in Williamsburg, VA. I became a member of BPN on 12-31-09. I have been taking snapshots for 40+ years and have tried to become a photographer over the past 12 or so. I started getting more serious about it when my children started playing sports and, I have done a lot of sports photography since. Nature photography became an interest of mine over the past 4 years and is now my main concentration. I have posted on many forums over the past few years, but have never really gotten the critiques I was looking for. Man am I in the right place now! The first critiques I recieved here were a little tough to swallow, but after my wounded ego healed I realized the true value of the critiques. I have learned a lot in the short time I have been here and the $20 membership fee was well worth it. I always used Minolta 35mm cameras and foolwed the progression to Sony. I currently shoot with a Sony A700, which is still at the repair shop. I recently purchased my wife a Sony A230 so at least I have that until mine comes back to me. My wife, Geri and I enjoy hiking, especially in the mointains and we are fortunate to live in an area which is abundant in places to view and photograph wildlife and nature. Looking forward to years more of shooting and sharing on BPN.
