Nice flyover, I like the underwing details, eye contact and nesting material. I would desaturate the sky a few points.

I like the nesting material and details, ditto desating the sky a bit.

Nice one Callie, like the underwing details & the nesting material. I have somehow never managed to see a black-headed heron- where did you capture this? Like the sky as is.

Good pose and details - eye contact and nesting material are great, Callie. Agree on knocking back the saturation on the blues.

Thanks Guys, much appreciated. I noticed when I saved the file for web, that the blue suddenly intensified, Why I cannot tell. This is the first time that I went out to shoot RAW, and this is just a random file I picked out of about 700 I shot on Saturday. I opened it in Capture NX, Which I do not know at all, since my PS does not "do" D300 RAW files, and only picked the black, white and neutral picker, then saved as a tiff, opened in PS and this is it? Anyone can tell me why the save fro web did it? Maybe I srewed-up something in Capture? Trying a lot of new things out since I am learning a lot here, thanks again.
    Hi Betsie
You can find them right in Hlederkruin! :D We sometimes see them next to the road near where we live. This was taken in Lonehill, near Leeukop, about 34 km from where we stay. You can phone and I will explain how to get there. Just drop me an e-mail

    Hi Axel
Thanks also for fixing my booboo, Iwanted to press preview and pressed upload, before the picture was uploaded and did not know how to fix it. Much appreciated.

nice pose and detail - glad you started using RAW Callie...
I agree on desaturating the sky - I would also selectively lift the levels on the under-wings a bit.

I think the colour difference probably came in with a conversion from Adobe RGB to sRGB or something?
