These guys always look serious, rather humorless, but I admire them anyway. To watch a large group of cormorants round up fish for themselves and others is an exciting, and I think beautiful, thing to witness. This image was cropped and NR and USM applied . . . I sometimes do not get noise eliminated, as well as sometimes over-saturating an image. How did I do in these two areas?

Wendell, This looks really good to me. Nice detail in the blacks and I like the water drops. May be tone down the highlights in the head and beak? I really like the color of the water. Also maybe clone out small debris in water at the top of the image. Did you use a polarizer?

Hi Wendell Saturation looks good, sharpness wise seems a little over? Most of the noise software applies sharpening to make up for the naturally softening process, best to turn it off ... or if using controlling to taste.

would like to take a little from the bottom to eliminate partial beak reflection and would not mind more room up front if you have it !! Love the mirror poses and placement !!

Hi Wendell - agree with the above comments - making definite progress though --- go back and have a look at some of your images from mid last year - huge improvement.
    Well done Sir!!

Agree with taking off a little from the top. Otherwise a nice composition with pleasing colors.
    Congrats
