Lovely colours, BG and sharpness, especially of the wing of a small bird at 1/1000. I like the yellow tones of the perch echoed in the foliage and the line of the perch echoed in the leading edge of the wing.

Very nice clean shot Alan. I like the position of the wings and the nice soft BG.

Stunning image, beautiful open wing position, sharp, nice background and comp. Obvious question for your images, Alan, but - is this your manually positioned perch, or au naturel?

Let me add my compliments to this image, Alan. The perch is fantastic and the extended underwing view is great.

    Hey Jory,

This is a set-up perch, just out of reach to a thistle feeder. Thanks.

Fantastic pose, wonderful perch and background, and perfect techs as usual!

Comp-wise, I might trade a bit of space on the left for a bit more on the right.
