Nikon D700, with 600 mm f/4 VR and 1.7X teleconverter
1/640 sec, f/6.7, ISO 500, manual exposure, with flash (don't have the flash compensation listed)
Nice and sharp and I like the comp with the diagonal of the bill and the eye and snail with dripping water at either end. Flash has created specular highlights of the small water droplets on the head and bill which could be removed/reduced, as could the multiple catchlights in the eye. Some OOF foliage in front of the body is reducing contrast significantly and it may be worth a try with a selective contrast boost over that area to try and minimise the effect.
Thanks, Tony. I actually removed the highlights from the snail, but left them on the bill and head, as I liked the look of water droplets. Easy to remove, however.
