    Don't believe it is a Little Green.. I believe that I would go with an immature Tri-Colored Heron..

    Hi Rich. Agree with the above ID. Compared to a green heron, this tri-colored is 2-3 times larger with a relatively longer beak and legs. The rusty coloring on the neck and wings are indicative of a juvenile. You might want to get a copy of Sibley's Guide to Birds, if you don't already have it, as it shows these characters quite clearly. :)

    Agree it is a immature tricolor heron
