    This was one of a group of about 10 oystercatchers. Pescadero, California. The surf was quite high in the aftermath of a group of storms.

    Canon 7D
    EF 80-400 at 400mm
    1/800
    f/9
    ISO 400
    Cropped to about 1/2 the original dimensions.

    Hi Bill - like the landing pose - looks a tad dark and flat on my screen - would set a black and white point and go from there. Love the clear eye, might just sharpen it a tad.
    Techs look solid.
    The OOF white area of the rocks in the front draws my eye, maybe darkening it a tad might help.
    Looking forward to seeing more :)

    Hi Bill, nice landing pose and good suggestions from Lance. Those dark birds can be a challenge.
