I want to say that this bird is "in the wild", because it was found at Cachuma Lake just roaming around, but obviously this is not a wild bird. These birds are from India and Burma and become feral for various reasons. I got some great opportunities for captures with this one.

Hi Kerry, Nice pose along with soft and even lighting. The backround is nicely muted with a flowering bush as additional interest. Well handled!!

Beautiful details and very pleasing light. Subject is also well defined and sharp with excellent eye contact.

Lots to like here Kerry - you have captured the sheen of the feathers very well, good HA and eye contact and a pleasing composition.
    Well done :)

Looks like an oil painting. Very beautiful iridescence on the feathers and good pose and HA. Very nice Kerry.

Gorgeous colors, Kerry. I like the variations of green in the bird and the grasses along with the complimenting iridescence blues.

Kerry, nice image. I like the shallow dof so the tail is slightly oof. Beautiful colors and composition. I had
a male peacock wander onto my property and stay for weeks - I loved having him as a guest:)
