Emerging Young Photographers

I was mucking about in my old photo files and found this.

It may not show in this reduced-size photo but Blake Shadle and Philip Pietri had been crawling in the mud and sand this October day at Fort DeSoto. As I saw them walking toward me, I couldn't help but think of them emerging from the primeval muck. Seriously, I saw the photos they produced that day. There's a lot of talent in these young (at least compared to me) sand-covered bodies.

Dr. Van - this an awesome capture.

Since then both Blake and Phillip has become fathers. Philip is an emerging Wedding Photographer(psycho) and Blake has lost weight.

Wow Van!! Thanks for posting this. The good ole' days (and 15lbs ago). I remember having a lot of fun with you out at Ft. Desoto too :)

You already looked pretty good. The 15 pounds must have really trimmed you down. I miss those outings. When are you coming back?
