    That red eye really jumps out at you from the black head.:cool:

    Fantastic detail, eye contact and pose. Not crazy about the squary crop - maybe a vertical with some more room at the bottom and less on the sides.

    I like the colors in the bird, especially that eye! Would that be the "evil eye." I suspect so. The precarious perch is an asset too. The bg is nice. I too yearn for a little more space above the bird.

    Beautiful capture Dave! Love the colors and detail on the plumage and that eye is awesome. Looks like this was a very fleeting moment and you got it!

    Intense! Everything about this image says that the bird has something to do. You did a good job of freezing that moment. I rather like the square crop in this case.
