The official name given the bird is appropriate, isn't it? Light coming from my right was a bit harsh, but nice. And I was unfortunately located high above, though that could not have been avoided. The crop and adjustments are minimal . . .

Nice and sharp, Wendell, and love those yellow legs. Wishing you weren't at the mercy of the steep angle and the HAP may be looking for you but nonetheless, a very pretty bird.

Hi Wendell - done well with the harsh light - sharp as a tack were it needs to be.
Couple of spots were the whites might be a tad hot - love those yellow legs.
    HA is passable.
    Good show!!!

I like that your higher angle allows for us to see the nice patterning in the feathers over the wings, shoulders and back of the bird.

I thought the image overall had a slight yellow tinge to it, so I removed it in PSE, which I think improves it slightly. Hope you like it.
(because I'm not a member, I've had to host your reworked image on my photobucket website so I could post it here. Just let me know if that's an issue and I'll take it down).

Like your capture, don't think the HA is a big problem. Did think that the original was a tad ove saturated. Great re post by Mark.
    Congrats

Mark, your re-post is no "issue" with me. In fact I welcome critiques from anywhere I can get them. I have learned an awful lot from the BPNers here (whether it shows or not), and I recommend the site whenever I get the opportunity. I like your amendments to my image. I am inclined to over-saturating and also to miss on NR occasionally, to mention only two of my "sins."

G'day Wendell, Glad you liked the repost. I'm like you in the sense that I find that the short few weeks I've started posting here, I've learnt quite a lot. And I'm only too happy to help others with what little I know as I am able.
