    D300 with 500vr + 1.4 tc, tripod mount, f/8, 1/640, iso 400, ev -0.33. Had the good fortune to run into Doug Brown and Kristin Wilkinson this afternoon.

    David, looks like the noise reduction softened the picture.

    Nice wing position and good light all round the bird. Comp wise, I'd be tempted to take a bit off the top and behind the bird. I didn't see the first post, but bird does look a little soft. Didn't you just need selective NR on the BG?

    Selective noise reduction was applied only to BG. Tiff looks plenty sharp, but the jpg may need another round.

    David I really like the repost and the flight pose with the forward wing thrust is beautiful. A very pleasing BG and well composed. Thanks for sharing.

    The repost is a very good improvement, I would only try to get more details in the shadows.
