It's not easy to get a "straight-ahead" shot like this and still show the eyes as well as you do. And I like that bright yellow beak. Congrats . . . On my monitor the water and the bird look just a bit over-saturated.

I like the pose, the color of the water and the direct eye contact. It looks to me like the whites are a little hot? Sounds like you are missing the Sigmonster:(

Hi Oz - a little too much contrast perphaps and maybe a little CW rotation???
