    Default Short-eared Owl

Taken yesterday in north Italy. It was a raining day , with just poor light , but this helped to approach the subject. He was absolutely relaxed and stayed there for more than 2 hours.

Nicely exposed, sharp owl, good stare, with evenly graded background. Only minor detractor from this great image is the man made perch.

This image really shows the short ears well and the eyes are great!

This is an absolutely stunning image! It is nice and sharp. The perch is what it is. The bird just pops right off of this BG. You must have felt pretty lucky on this day!!!

I don't mind the perch at all.....I'm too busy looking at the beautiful SEO. He's giving you a wonderful look and showing off those "short ears". I like this one...especially since it's one of my favorite owls. Well done.

    Hello Luca and welcome!

Really nice owl and killer BG, perch is not ideal but still works for me. Love the little ''horns''.

I really enjoy your shot, Luca. Very cool that little claw sticking out from the perch. Wonderful color and such sharpness. Car blind and beanbag a good combo. Who needs full sun? Well done.

Super image, bg focuses perfectly onto the bird. The detail in the feathers brings dynamic motion to the image.

Beautiful detail and nice BG, sharpness is very good, just wish for a natural perch.
