    Default Rufous Tailed Lark



    Was lying flat on the ground to get this , had a fraction of a second to make this image when the bird came into the open , otherwise was behind foliage . Personally loved the plumage .

    Beautiful details, and the focus is spot-on. Might consider a CCW rotation.

    Was this shot in a red/gold sunset? If so, then the color is fine as posted. I experimented with toning down red and magenta, but I'm not sure this is right.

    Hi David !! Thanks for reposting it , but the shot was taken just after sunrise . The colours were actually like what i've posted :)

    I thought that might be the case but couldn't tell. In sunrise/sunset shots there are usually long shadows to tell us the sun
    is low. When such cues are absent, there's a risk that some viewers will mistake it for a white balance problem in processing.
    Some discussion of that point in this thread.

    Yes I've gone through that thread . Since the above shot is a ground level , its hard to imagine the lighting conditions :)
