I was intrigued by Chas Glatzer's post in wildlife yesterday when he said he processes things in Capture One , then imports to CS4, so I though I would try it. All I did was slight linear burn on the whites, a bit of sharpening on the eye and feathers, and NR on the BG. Thought it came out pretty sharp with good colours. I will be experimenting with the program on the W/E some more, They have a 30 day trial period.

Could have backed down on the ISO, but it was a whirlwind day of shooting.

Yes indeed, a Great Egret and it looks great! Nice detail in the whites and ever so sharp; love the bg, too.

Hi Jackie - looking good - nice head shot and good details throughout.
Agree with AL - just depends on your workflow - personally I prefer the non third party apps for conversion - just so that it picks up on your in camera settings :)
    Good show :)

Very nice, Jackie. Love the composition. Whites look fine to me, and the colors - bird and bg both - are handsome. Well done!

Nice portrait Jackie. Great Bg also. Just a little turn of the head as Al mentions.

Yes, this is a Great Egret. That spot in the neck's s-curve where it looks like it's broken (but isn't) is pretty distinctive.
