    Default Yellow Crowned Night Heron

I took this shot right after dawn at Bunche Beach this week.
The tide was low and he was working in and around the mangrove
    roots to find some crabs.

The heron itself looks great, but I find the surroundings quite dirty. Although a lower angle would have normally been better, here it would have placed the close and busy mangrove BG directly behind the bird so I am OK with this. I do wish for more room below the feet however.

Thanks for the comments Daniel. I cropped off part of the lower section so I can
add more to the feet. Would you recommend getting rid of those white shell
fragments to give a more uniform base?

    thanks for the help

I like the sharpness and walking pose and would put the bird a bit higher in the frame. I don't find the shells distracting but removing them would be an option.
