Congratulations on your first post Ken I really like the flight pose allowing us to see some of the topside and the branch is a nice bonus. Would like to see a little more canvas on the right as to give the subject a little more room to fly out of the image and a tad more detail in the blacks and eye. Great timing you did well to capture this beauty and many thanks for sharing. We will look forward to your future posts !!!

I agree with Judy's critique. If you like this crop you could alternately place the bird higher in the frame. As posted the image looks soft, perhaps some additional sharpening would take care of that. Nesting material is a great bonus...very cool! Hope to see some more from you:).

Ken, I like the pose of this caracara. You have it looking at you and the branches add.
The one thing I would do would be to run it through shadow/hightlights in PS to bring out some of the detail in the darkest areas.

    Hi Ken

Congratulations on your first post. Excellent bird position, showing the behaviour. As others have mentioned above, it does look soft, need more detail in the dark areas and more room for the bird to move into.:)
