Love the details here . Dont mind the legs not showing . Would have cropped the negative space above the bird . Shutters @ 1/1328 sec ????

Background complements the eagle well - I agree with taking some off the top and I would clone out the weed coming out of the top of his head. I envy you for getting so close to the eagle -- always a thrill to experience closeness with nature

I like the repost much better, very nice light and details don't mind the sharp twigs but wish the oof twigs in the lower left weren't there. Might also brighten the pupil a bt. TFS.

sometimes EXIF gets messed up when you edit the photo in multiple programs.

You mean the JPEG that came directly from camera or the JPEG that was produced by RAW converter?

Ram, not sure what is going on here maybe a bug in camera firmware in combination with some settings?

RAW will give you a lot more headroom for processing and improving your photos, checkout the Digital Photography Workflow forum for tips and tricks, Artie has a nice Digital Basic's ebook that is very helpful for getting started and beyond, get one for yourself.

Lovely lighting and excellent detail and beautiful eye contact. I would like to see a tad more canvas at the bottom to make room for the virtual feet. Lovely sharp image and many thanks for sharing.

Ram I really like the eye contact in this photo. Besides the cropping optins already suggested I might be tempted to clone out the small OOF branch (twig?) above the bird's head.

As for RAW conversions you could also try Digital Photography Professional (DPP) that should have came with your Canon. I used that before I bought Light Room 2 and CS4.

Great eagle shot. I like the 2nd even better.
Wonderful light and colors. Great eye contact. I like the vegetation in the foreground.

    Wonderful sharpness.

Did you take the picture from a hide or a car?
