    Default White Pelican ~ Late Light

    Image created just beforw sunset a couple weeks back when we found a handful of white pelicans feeding on cold stunned fish.

    Nikon D700, 500VR, ISO 1000, F7.1, 1/400, NearUniWB Preset, CW metering, +1.7 EV

    Beautiful light, good sharpness and eye contact, I also like the colors of the water and patterns. Some of the whites and reds look a bit overexposed.

    Hi Axel...

    Doesn't show up as over exposed or out of gamut on CS4 on my computer nor in NX2?

    I bet it is because of sRGB 8bit jpg conversion. This is the histogram if I open it in CS4.

    You could be right...when I open it in Adobe RGB, at least on my system, it's OK.

    When I look at it in srgb, I see exactly what you're seeing.

    Guess I should soft proof in srgb :)
