Nice all the way around. I might be tempted to have a little more room above and in front.
I was going to say a little more DoF would have been good to bring up the feather sharpeness too, but then I saw you shot at f/ 11... Shutter of 1/160th at 1560mm??? WOW! Is that missing a zero?

I really like the tight composition and the details!

That is amazingly sharp for that focal length & shutter speed. I've often wondered if a bean bag is more stable than a tripod though.

Jeroen it only let you get really close coz it did not want to fly in the rain!!! I mean you don't want to cycle in the rain do you?:D

I love the tight portrait with that head turn and the rain drops and great sharpness, well done!

Great portrait, great exposure in difficult light. Exceptional sharpness at that focal length

    Very good portrait! :)
I agree with Richard Kowalski about the space in front and above the bird.
I would like to see this image without "noise ninja".

    Hi Guys,

The Buzzard was this close to me and with the converter mounted there was no more sapce around it.
Also the Noise Ninja is only applied to the BG and never to my subjects so it cannot affect sharpness in my subject.

    Greetings,

    Jeroen Stel

Awesome. Since this is full frame, adding some canvas would be straightforward, but not necessary.

Here's a repost with some added canvas and a little dodging around the eye. Not sure why it doesn't look as sharp as the original (perhaps added jpg compression). Beautiful photo BTW.
