    I like the background but the head needs some sharpening -- maybe its the 1/50 shutter speed wasn't enough to stop some head action

    I don't mind the bird's placement in the frame...its just the square crop I'm not sure about. I'm also not crazy about the blunt ending to the perch. Awesome colouration on this guy, and you got the yellows just right. Good pose too withe the proper head turn towards you. Great BG.

    With these low light conditions don't be afraid to raise the ISO and/or open up the aperture...you'll apreciate the extra SS!;)
