    Found this family last spring at Squaw Creek WMA ,MO. Cropped some off top and bottom, image adjusted in camera raw and PS CS4. Lighting wasn't very good. dull overcast windy day. Hard to keep group in frame--kinda cramped.
    D2Xs 80-400mmvr, at 240mm, iso 400, 1/350 sec at f/7.1 ev +1.0 matrix metering, WB auto, aperture priority.

    Hi Craig. Nice family outing; makes me look forward to spring. Might have been better had they been angled toward you, and a little more room up front would help. Pretty tough to get all the head angles right in a group like this.

    Hi Craig - agree with Bill - they are swimming away from you - some lightening and sharpening to the parents eye's make help it pop a bit more.
    Exposure looks OK.

    bill nailed the critique for me. it is a difficult image to get exactly right!!
