    This is from the end of January on a frigid morning on Long Island. Since the bird was tucked in and trying to stay warm, I had the chance to try some different compositions. Thanks for looking and for your comments.

    1/1000, f8, ISO400
    Canon mk3, 500f4 + 1.4tc + tripod

    Hi Grace: Boy, I would love to have the opp to photograph something like this. You have great light and BG. Love the HA on the bird and nice catchlight. I only wish for a slightly tigher crop.

    A little outside the box , and done very , very well. Beautiful light and angle. Great mood , I got a chill just looking.

    Hi Grace, this lovely indeed. Nice to have subjects let you take your time! Are those ice formations on the swan?? I'd crop away about half the empty space at bottom.
