    Default Winter Sunrise Bison

A recently worked image from Dec 2008 from my Grazers in the Grass pano collection :). It was still, cold, and a weak winter sun was just starting to rise. This lone bull was grazing in a little draw as the first sun light started to hit him. 40D, 1-400L @ 400mm, f5.6, 1/160s, ISO 800, +2/3 EC, monopod, cropped some off top and right, removed a small, dark bush that was like an eye magnet, saved at 60% quality to get under size guideline.

I like it a lot Steve, so difficult getting detail in those animals !! I like the space around the bison and overall feel !!!

Great colour again, a little glint in the eye, well framed although I might consider a little less on the LHS.

Nice position in the frame here Steve with good eye contact and detail on the Bison.

Works for me Steve. Would love to see a view point like Morkel's shot of the wildebeest on the skyline. ;)

Great Bison shot. I like the panorama format and the eye contact of the animal.
Fantastic light and details in the Bison. Perfect exposure.

    I like this Steve,

A good catchlight, eye contact, space around the subject and the snow all add up to a very good image.

Hi Steve, what makes this stand out for me, is the way you have brought out those eyes against the dark fur. Comp works for me, and I like the surrounding enviroment. Always good to see the snow too.
