    Default Ring-necked Duck

    Another shot from the workshop.

    D300 + 500mm f4 AFS-1 + Gitzo 3530 + Jobu BWG-P head.

down low and in nice light, this was a species i didn't have many decent shots of.
Pretty happy with this all in all.

    Aperture: f4
    Shutter: 1/2000
    ISO: 400
    Exposure comp: -1.7EV
    A-priority
    spot metered
    no flash

    Cheers!

I would be happy too! I love the BG colors, exp looks good, and everything is sharp. I would maybe do a little CCW rotation and give a little more room at the top. Nice job. :)

Yes, I would be quite happy as well!
Beautiful water, excellent angle, nice pose, and great exposure. Capturing the purple sheen is a nice plus.
    Agree about the CCW rotation.

What a beauty! I agree with the ccw rotation and more room at the top but this is a fine image!

The sharpness, soft light on the bill, the purple on the head, and the color in the water make for a compelling image, Paul.
