The image shows the balcony from my living room. It's going to snow for several more hours and the highways around here have been closed.

Happy shoveling everyone in the Northeast! :)

I wish you could send some our way Axel. The 2010 Winter Olympics start Friday and we are importing snow for the local mountains. Dave

I read about the lack of snow there, let's hope you will get some, too.

I played around with the Mark IV. I made this one through the window an hour after sunset, no flash, just street lights. I used a 17-40 wide open at f/4, 1/15s and ISO 10.000! In ACR, I only removed the color noise, no other NR in PS.

Axel, the snow is amazing but so is the new camera! Wow! I'm so glad you got this instead of me. I can barely think ahead to spring but know it's just around the corner...I drove home from work tonight for the first time in months and didn't have to turn my car lights on! YIPPEE!!!

    Cool. I love the snow.

I would be sitting with a glass of cognac beside a roaring fire soaking it all in.

I can honestly say that, at this point, I would much rather be in a snow storm and even shoveling snow than dealing with all the clouds, rain, wind and cold we have endured this winter.

Looking forward to seeing some birds in snow photographs!

I wish we got this! It looks so beautiful!! We've almost literally had no snow this winter. :(

It's beautiful but I'm glad I don't have to deal with it. We've had a couple of good snows this year but it's usually all melted in 2 or 3 days which is fine with me. :)

Thanks, Judy! I think this winter some areas had the most snow since the 1870s or so.
