Shot in Kruger Park. I'm not sure if the crop works. Processing was just levels, colour saturation, brightness/contrast and sharpen.

I like the eye contact, angle and balancing pose. I also like the idea of a 'semi-pano' crop but it looks a bit tight for my taste, especially at the top. I would sharpen the bird a bit more, tone down the whites and try to get more details in the shadows.

I love the bird's pose, and also the perch. I agree it could use an extra round of sharpening for web display, and the shadow is rather heavy. The whites look OK to me. Comp feels a bit cramped but I like your idea of going for a pano crop...it just needs a bit more breathing room.

Thanks for the feedback. I was in two minds about the top, but you've confirmed it - it is a bit tight. I'm always nervous about over sharpening, but I'm learning from this sight I can push it a bit more. Thanks.

Hi Gary, great subject, and I like the pose. Comp wise, I would add a tad to the top, and would actually add a little more to the bottom ( if you have room ) I would maybe selectively sharpen the head.

I like the composition and the panorama format. The color of the BG goes great with the white and yellow in the eagle.
As Axel already wrote, more details in the shadows would be great.

Nice shot Gary, I like the pose and pano comp works well here, might sharpen the head a bit more.TFS
