beautiful angle and i like the fluffy look
I love the disgusted look on its face! Really cute pose and nice and sharp.
I like the soft angle and fluffed-up pose and would run NR on the BG. How did you sharpen the bird? Some areas look noticeably sharper than others.
The fluffed pose makes for something different. Good DoF and the BG colour compliments the bird. BG does need some NR.
This guy sure looks upset with that expression. Love the ruffled pose, together with the orange chest. Another vote for some NR on the BG.
Glad to see you removed the OOF branch running across the top Peter from a previous posting.
Regarding the position of the Robin, it sits uneasy in this format as there is a lot of dead space to the rhs and a vertical crop would have been better IMHO, plus, because it is just too close to the foot of the crop its almost feels like it is slipping off, out of view.
Totally agree about reducing the 'noise factor' and the Robin is still over sharpened for me, however you have exaggerated the noise by your application technique of USM. The banding BG also needs some attention, to give a cleaner BG.
Better luck next time.
Post Production: It’s ALL about what you do with the tools and not, which brand of tool you use.
What a wonderful expression of outrage!! :D He seems to be saying, "I told them twice, NO STARCH!"
Hi Pete
No doubt a beautiful shot. You will make it look way better, by decreasing the dead space on the right side and little bit from the top side, so that the bird comes to the center, drawing the eye to just the bird.
