It is interesting to compare this with Fab's image. I find this too have too much colour and saturation for my liking, it is just my personal preference.

I like the colours, and like how the bushes frame the animal.

I know the fox Fabs posted very well.. Very much a different color fox than this one was. Frosty was very pale.

The FG and BG really make the fox pop out of the screen. As you were there, your judgment on the saturation is the one that matters. As I can see detail in the fur, oversaturation does not seem to be the problem. I believe it looks that way due to the monotone surroundings.

Great detail, and I love the framing in the environment. Personally, I'd reduce the saturation just a hair.

The color and saturation look fine to me and appears very much like some of the red fox I've seen in Colorado in winter. Not too fond of the dark area above the fox and might try a crop if it doesn't crowd the animal too much. A handsome critter and a very nice image!

Winter wonderland Dale. Have no issues trusting your judgement and can only comment what a beautiful specimen you found. Nicely done.

This is very nice. I like the impact caused by the colour of the fox contrasting against the almost mono BKGR.
I agree that the dark patch top middle in the BKGR is distracting.

I like his placement in the snow covered sagebrush and the look on his face (keeping an eye on the coyote?)

Like the way the red coat stands out against the monotone background.
