    Default Common Eider Portrait

I posted a portrait of a male Common Eider a few days ago, this is the female. Photographed on Cape Cod last month while the Ivory Gull was there. Does anyone know if the object in the nostril is something that is stuck? I don't remember seeing this before.

Really like the tight crop and excellent detail Axel! Good choice of aperture.

    Hi Axel,

I like this very much. Great light, excellent technicals, comp is good. I have redone the eye a little to try to bring out a little more detail. Just my two cents.

Thanks, Dan! I already lightened the eye to show the dark-brown iris better. In the original RAW file you can hardly see a difference between iris and pupil.

I love the original image better. Eye look perfect and having detail and shine. Just perfect.
Never seen that something in the nostril. I like this image. Very fine detail.
