A great bird and I love the photo. The details are really good. I think it would be even better if the lower clouds were not so blue.

Could you include some more tech info?

Very lovely composition with and incredible sky and love being able to view the topside so well. Great detail too. I would like to see a tad more USM around the head area, Congratulations and many thanks for sharing.

Love the flight angle here. Very nice flight pose indeed.
The clouds add to the BG.

A magnificent subject captured in an outstanding manor. The detail is supurb and the clouds make it "pop".

Wow, looks like you were up there in the sky with the eagle!! Perhaps just a bit more room above. All around good job, and I too would have loved to have seen this at 800 pixels high;).

    Nice capture indeed!
Were you in a plane or helicopter or was this cloned into a sky background? Angle doesn't seem possible from the ground.

Looks pretty good on my monitor! What was your vantage point to get such an awesome BG? Would like to see it posted larger to better appreciate the detail.

Cool pose, good sharpness and the cloud adds to it. I would go for a slightly wider crop.

When I saw the thumbnail, I already knew that you nailed this one.
Fantastic shot. Awesome wing pose and killer BG. Great sharpness and detail
This huge eagle is my favourite bird and I am happy to see such an awesome image of this species.

What was the aperture used? The clouds are incredibly sharp.

thakns everyone for you great comments.

Ramon, unfortunately it was taken in camera as a TIFF file, i was comparing RAW files with incamera Jpeg's/Tiff's at the time for a local camera club talk i was giving.

Hi Ramone, no disrespect here but what was this request to see the RAW file for? Kinda unfair to ask someone to share this over a web-based forum, no?

Sorry if this was meant as tongue-in-cheek on your part :).

Hi Daniel, I donīt know what Ļtongue in cheekĻ means.
Regarding the Raw Requiest, I donīt see whatīs unfair about it, I have shared a lot of my Raw files here to let everybody see the original capture and the PP work made on it, I asked for the Raw as the IQ of the clouds in the BG is, IMO, too good to be a full frame with a 500mm lens, maybe this image has a large crop, I donīt know, and to avoid jumping into conclusions I kindly asked for the Raw file... that is it. :)
