I saw the strong vertical lines that these bare trees presented today and was reminded of Artie's earlier posting, "Piling City at Sunset." That's the frozen edge of Lake Michigan between the snow and the blue clouds!

    All comments welcome!

Nice one David. I like the composition and the fact that the trees are slightly taller left to right as that guides the eye through the image.

My vision is off today due to allergies and coming off the flu but the trees don't appear crisp/sharp on my monitor.

Like the subtle colors and details. The trees look plenty sharp on my laptop.

A beautiful example of its type, David. I really like it. Not too sure about the branches bleeding off the RH side though. . . .

Can only add that cropping some from the foreground would strenghten the image Would place the horizon a bit lower !!! Excellent image David !!!

Well, David, you convinced me to go through with the editing I thought it might need. I just did not feel like going into Photoshop last night (the image had only been worked up in Lightroom). Attached is the edited version with cleaner edges and a few color tweaks.

Repost is a much stronger image. Love the soft colors and the pastel sky.
