    This is one of the most beautiful Anhingas (male) I've seen this season. No contrast or saturation added, look at the lores, eye and the colorful feet, that get brighter during courtship. Only cropped, resized and sharpened lightly.
    Pardon the BG :o He wouldn't get out of there.

    Nice to see Fabs. We think of cormorants as pretty drab but they frequently develop amazing breeding colours and "ornaments". The ornaments are strictly "sexually selected" and have value only in attracting mates and getting more matings. They can be mutually sexually selected in both males and females when they indicate some measure of quality in the bird. It's was was all laid out by Darwin in his book "The Decent of Man".
