    Still trying to hone my skills with these hard to photograph birds, at least hard for me.
    50D, 1/800, f5.6, ISO400, 300mm 2.8 + 2xTC, Auto WB, NR, sharpen, crop for composition, cloned out some distracting twigs.

    Hi John - and magnificent birds they are. I am not on a colour corrected screen at the moment!! Id set a black and white point and work from there, eye could be sharpen a tad and maybe even a tad more sharpening to the entire bird.
    Looking forward to seeing more :)

    it's just a little dark. you could brighten it a little and add an even smaller amount of contrast to bring it in line. brightening the eye area will help a lot. that area looks a little dead as is. i really like the composition and the eye contact with the majestic bird!!!!

    Nice image. I like the diagonal of the branch and the head angle. Might add a little contrast though.

    Agree with the others; also wonder if you cut a bit off the right side if that would move the head/eye more into the ROT's position and strengthen the comp even more. I've never got this close to an eagle before so be grateful for the images you're getting!
