PP in Elements 5. I left the BG pretty much as it was and attemted to correct highlights in the white portions of the bird, slight saturation and some sharpening. I like the old weathered tree in the BG but not sure if it isn't overwhelming. This is about 90% of FF.

A lovely image, Peter, with great light and detail. I find the tree too much and would crop in from the left.

Nice detail in the bird Peter. The whites look a bit bright to my eye. I agree with David about the tree.

Hi Peter - agree with the crop from the left - would also sharpen the eye just a tad will make it look sharper (looks a tad soft in the head/eye area)
White might be right on the edge.
    Keep em coming :)

nice looking image! sharp eye!! looks like it was a tad hot. the whites are on the verge of being muddy from trying to save them. agree with the others crop suggestion. i love the warm light here!!!
