This image was taken at Venice Rookery last year. It is of an Egret pruning while it’s chick rests on the nest.

Modifications included; Poster Edge and Cutout

    Enjoy!

PS. Sorry, but I can't change the spelling in the title ... unfortunately. :( You get the jist I hope! :o

Hi Mark. I like the cutout effect and the subdued colors in this one. Only wish the long feather didn't intersect the edge of the frame.

I like the cutout on everything but the chic - to me I totally lose what that is supposed to be if you hadn't told us. Maybe let a bit of the details back in on that area?

Thanks all for viewing and comments. Appreciate it.

Julie, there isn't much more there. The chick is just a clump in the original. I liked the mother and the chick was a bonus. You can see it's head just left of center, but again, the original isn't much more detailed. I'll look and see if I have another view of the chick, but I know this is the best one of the mother. It was our first time to Venice Rookery. Didn't have the equipment along to do what I wanted to. Can't wait to go back as soon as it warms up a bit! ;) :D Nice place for family shots.
