    Going through some old files this evening and I found this image from 12/24 when at Morton NWR with Artie. Snow was nice, birds were cooperative and hungry. :)

    1/1600 f 5.6, ISO400
    Canon mk3, 500 f4 + 1.4tc + tripod

    Wow, did you use fill flash? The light looks perfect.

    Thanks, Jeff. No fill, I think it was just the added light being reflected off the snow.

    Nice flat angle, it must have been really bright since it has the flash feel to it, I would tone down the BG and tree a bit, nice details and pose TFS.

    I like the angle, sharpness and eye contact. It could go a bit darker for my taste, maybe by adjusting the midtones.

    I like this one alot Grace. I might tone down the perch just a bit and re-crop some off the top to move the subject up a bit. But just my taste.
