    Taken on a boat trip today in Gloucester Harbor on the Cape Ann Birding Weekend. The sun was bright and Sunny but the wind was out of the NE at around 20 miles per hour and the temperature was in the low 20's, good windchill, Picture adjusted in PS and canvas added to the left and the bottom
    D300s 150-500mm @ 500mm
    750mm (in 35mm film)
    Subject dist: 17.8m
    1/1600 sec, f/6.3
    Mode: Av
    Metering: Multi-segment
    ISO: 400
    White balance: Auto
    Flash: Off

    I am now home getting ready to drive to Florida and checking the weather so we miss the next mid-atlantic storm :D

    Good timing and exposure. Nice action too. I do wish you had pointed your lens lower though as there is too much space above IMO. A lower angle would have been great too - although that could be quite tough to achieve form a boat!

    Thanks for your comments. First I could crop more off the top to decrease the space and secondly I was on the lower deck and could not get a lower angle
