one of my favorites from this afternoon. i just liked the water. it was a little bright at the time and the whites were hard to keep in check in order to expose the darks properly. tried to clone some texture back in there and in the bill where there were some highlights. sorry about the steep angle. it was taken from a boardwalk.

thanks for looking. comments and critiques much appreciated.

Hi Mr H - Love the water also - You can make some cool images of just the water alone - use a slow shutter speed - might need a ND8 or ND400 filter during the n=middle of the day - can get some nice results.

Sharp as a tack and techs look solid - agree with the lower shooting angle - as it stands I am torn between looking at the water and looking at the bird - might crop some to put the focus on the bird - maybe - IMHO.

Harold I really like it. I look at the beautiful golden on the water, but my eye alway goes back to the red on the beak. Lower shooting angle and you would have lost the water. Good eye!

Excellent Harold !!! Just love the light and look of that water !! I like the suggestion by Lance of working just with the water, lots of possibilities !!
