This little bird has been one of my targets for some time but it was until last week that I was able to get a shot of this active fellow. This bird recalls a flycatcher for its coloration but is a flower piercer, that means that likes to ''steal'' the nectar from flowers by opening holes on the base of the flower and do not pollinate it. A smart bird indeed.

A bit more DOf would have been nice, but you obviously were up against the low light with the numbers you posted, so nice job!
I like the pose, perch, and comp...but to me it looks like 1/50s. got the better of you as the face/head is smoothed out possibly due to subject motion blur. Thanks for the additional info on this fella...smart indeed!!
