    Default Buffleheads - Rogue River, Bend, Oregon

    Taken Jan 22, 2008. The river was mostly frozen, but this thawed stretch provided a great habitat for various diving ducks. I really like these little guys.

    Interesting with the wings raised and a nice compostion but the darks are MEGA-noisy...

    Buffleheads have to be one of the toughest ducks to portray. The light looks like it was not very good for you Terry---nice action!

    Pied birds are a challenge at the best of times Terry but the harsh lighting here wouldn't help. Action well captured!!

    Cool behavior and wing position, Terry. A few problems with the exposure and noise have been mentioned.
