Even though it was getting late in the morning (last good light), I was right on the sun angle, the head angle was good (gee, wonder where I've heard that before) and I liked the white beach sand as a BG. Image created at Ft Myers beach this past weekend.1DMKIIN 400DO ISO 200 F5.6@1/6400

Hey David, Yes, you are getting it. Good EXP and head and light angles. Is there flash on this?

Nicely done, David. I would blow the eye to 600% and get rid of the purple chromatic aberration. Nicely done!

Thanks again, folks!!! No, Artie, there was no flash and very minimum processing on this one, again per the basic workflow from your CD. Just S/H, Sat, Levels, Curves, USM. Wonder where the chromatic aberration came from?

Very nice portrait, the BG compliments the Gull nicely my only suggestion would be maybe a little more sharpening.
