    Default Sitka Deer

I was looking for something else and stumbled on this image that I hope some you you might like. Sitka deer live in our coastal forests in the summer but deep snow of winter sends them down to the coast where they often forage on kelp as the tide permits. I was in the ocean (on a skiff) looking back on the beach where these deer were poking around for food.

Excellent feel to this one Declan. I like the direct look and all that snow, would like the to see the animals a little lighter? and would take a little of the bottom !!! Big Congrats on this one !!!

Nice eye contact Declan. Like Al's suggestions. Would also consider some selective sharpening on the near deer for this web size shot as the pof looks to be on the rear hind. TFS

Good eye contact from both, and well exposed on the overall snow BG. I like the snow covered face of the deer on the left.

Thanks guys. Let's see if the difference is perceptible in this repost; a bit lighter, lower, and sharper....

    Hi Declan,

The crop has improved the repost. The rear hind still looks sharper than the near one.
Good to have all four eyes visible a well.

    Cheers

    Austin
