    Barn Owl

Hi my first post one from last spring a completely wild bird hunting for food just before the start of the breeding season.

Very nice apture in sweet light and BG. I'd like to see the eye more clearly.

You may want to PM Alfred Forns to fix your real name.

Big welcome to BPN, looking forward to more from you :)

Welcome! That is one great image, I like the pose and under-wing detail.
I wish you had a bit more of the grass below the bird, but great as is too.
As presented, I would perhaps remove the little proud stick/grass at the very bottom.
    Hope to see more.

Welcome to BPN Phillip!! Way cool image to kick off things for you here:). I love the sweeping "fiery" BG. Nice hovering pose too. I wish there was some bit more life in the eye (e.g. catchlight, or reflection). A strong debut....

Welcome to BPN. You will enjoy it here, BPN is amazing!

This is a wonderful shot of a Barn Owl. I like the wing pose, the composition and the beautiful war light.

I like this one a lot, especially the light, BG and the hovering pose.
Agree with Daniel regarding the eye.

Very nicely done. It has a very nice feel of the bird flying/hovering into the wind waiting to drop onto a mouse. Love the light. Dave

Welcome Phillip: This is as nice of a first image as I've seen on BPN. The position of the owl and muted colors are awesome. Well done.

Welcome to the forum not a bad image for a start. Abit too yellow and with it being small in the frame it does not have the feather detail that i would have liked. I also think that you need eye contact or at least a catchlight in the birds eye. It looks a little lifeless in this case. The couple of infocus glasses at the bottom could do with cloning out aswell.

I find this shot to be just gorgeous Phillip. The quality of light sends it into a very emotionally appealing shot. If you could tickle some detail out of the eye that would be a plus. And you might try a slightly more cropped in version with a little off the top and right side--but as is works great too IMO. Welcome to the site.

Beautiful light and posture. The background is also gorgeous. I would remove the grass twig in the bottom of the frame?

The grasses at the bottom put this noe over the top for me, also the light, pose and overall mood is quite superb. Congratulaitons!
