    Hi all,

This one was taken in the Masai Mara region of Kenya. The adult has some damage to the face ( below eye above whiskers ) maybe not so obvious at low res.

    Canon 1DMk3 500mm, f6.3, 1/2500, -0.67, ISO 200.

    C&C welcome

    Austin

Nice to see Adult & cub, especially out in the open.

Will PM you, as I think you can improve the image, as it looks a bit flat to me Austin.:) Any more fore ground too?

    Steve:)

I agree with Steve that it looks a tad flat. There's some room to play at the high end of the histogram, so play I did just to see what
might be done with the jpeg. More possible with the raw I'm sure.

Pleasing image Austin seeing mother & cub together and not half hidden in long grass, with David's repost now making it pop.

Beautiful shot Austin, I think the repost has too much punch (but that's me).

Big congratulations on your remarkable Cheetah shot wining Al-Thani, I hope it is the first of many.

    Morning all ,

Thanks for your feedback and suggested improvements, much appreciated. The IOTY comments are more than kind, knowing the standards set on this forum and especially from yourself Ken the deserved wearer of that crown for the last 12 months.

Alfred, I will find a cub image for you and post it in the coming days.

    Enjoy your weekends

    Austin

Austin, great sighting, and in the open too. I agree a little room at the bottom will work, and David's repost looks good.
