    Another image from my outing with these guys. My previous two posts of this guy were in flight ( and I have plenty more ) but I thought I would post a posing shot. The BG was naturally OOF. Taken in overcast conditions.

    These are impressive little birds, Stuart. I like the pose, sharpness and BG. Pity about the clump of vegetation in front of the wing. I might crop some from the right - I suspect you have left it there to give him room to look into but it has left the focal point of his head very centered and I think the diagonal element would work well with just under half of the negative space removed

    Beautiful bird and perch. This must be challenging to compose..same as the scissor-tailed flycatcher we have here. You have done well. Loved the space in front of the bird. Composition becomes easier when they are looking back.

    Catchlight has added a lot IMO.

    Very nicely done. I like the clean simplicity of the shot. Colours are very nice and I also would consider a bit off the right. Dave

    Wow this is a new species for me Stuart. Beautiful bird on a lovely perch with a great BG. What more could you ask for. !!!!

    I love the perch and the BG. a lovely image.
    I think I would leave less room behind.

    Just my two cents, I think I'd be tempted to put the bird a bit lower in the frame with his tail pointing to the LL corner. Nice image.:)
